Why would Mendes use TJ's style? Aldo is a significantly better striker than Barao is. Aldo actually has a very high level boxing game.

I don't think Mendes can employ TJ's style.

He's not as fast and he's a lot more muscle bound, he'll gas eventually.


Aldo is also an entirely different fighter from Barao. Quite possibly the most technical striker in all of UFC.

Mendes needs to take Aldo down and tire him out quickly before he himself gasses then try for a finish.
