I now pay under 8 bucks a month for a dumb phone, some texts and some voice minutes.
I FEEL INCREDIBLE Like I just scored some major win

My smartphone is now just a small, free of cost, wifi tablet.
I feel facking powerful.
 
That doesn't look like it feels very pleasant, actually.
 
I've always only had a cheap phone through Koodoo

Only talk and text, it's all I need.

Had the same phone for 6 years and going strong.

It's a strong phone too, I drop that fucker every day.

If I had a modern phone it would be broken in a week.

My wife's been through like 4 phones during this time.

My job pays for my phone its a brand new iphone .I have two tablets at home.

I tried to do this but a family member bought me a new phone. I was hoping to be free from the bondage of the smartphone.

i couldn't do my job with out a smart phone. Although when i'm not working it feels glorious to leave it at home when i'm out.

I switch on/off lights, fans, pc, ac, every damn thing with mine.

I log into my work intranet with it.

Check mail, access pm clients.

Thousand other things. Posting from mine right now on sherdog.

Only a fool would get rid of his, it's supposed to be cool?

Technology is giving you better options every damn day and what? You regress?

can you do your job without 3g/4g LTE? Just wifi?

I can do most of that that on my cheap tablet on wifi. wifi is free at many locations. Even facking Popeyes has free wifi. The access code is printed on their receipts.
If your work pays your cell plan then that's great.

unfortunately no. i do a lot of coordination from the field to a main job board. having the access to lte is a life/time saver. Keeping track of 30 employees over 300 acre golf course is entertaining to say the least.
 
Would not having a smart phone be a hipster thing. Going backwards and shit.
