i think it falls down to what kind of router are you using and if you can limit the use of bandwidth to each device

You could probably implement bandwidth restrictions by MAC addr/IP if you have a half-decent router.

Or, you know, don't be poor.

youd be amazed what a nice router can do. Anything older than 3-4 years need to be replaced.

spend $200 at a bestbuy and see if it makes a difference. If it doesnt, take it back. But I bet it does, unless your internet is just slow no matter what
