Just started senior year in high school, and have nine months before I graduate and move onto adulthood, uni etc. I started lifting weights, following a powerlifting program, at my school's gym, which is pretty well equiped and impressive.

Anyway, my school has a thing called the 350 club. You must lift a total of 350kg with the bench press, squat and deadlift. Any combination of weight in those lifts is acceptable, as long as you make the total of 350.

I've decided that this is something I really want to achieve. I started lifting weights a few months ago because I needed to get in shape and get my life in order. The last year or so I got off track after battling with depression, but since getting into weight training I've really come back and become a better person. Since focussing on powerlifting, I've greatly improved my strength, and my happiness and confidence has sky rocketed as a result.

The reason I am focussing on this goal specifically is because it will motivate and inspire me to bust my arse every morning in the gym. I can't go back to being a loser, I need to be a better man. I need focus, direction and the benifets of achieving this goal will keep me going. I want to be strong and get my name up on the wall of the gym.

Sorry if my backstory was unneccasary, I just felt like it was important to explain why I need this and how much it will help me. How can a person go about greatly improving their lifts in nine months? I am already training every school day and sticking to a strict diet.

For sure. 350 is pretty low for a big 3 total.

Do starting strenght, eat lots of food, learn good technique and im sure you'll reach it within a couple of months.

Thanks man. I'm doing everything right that I know of, training every day and eating healthy. I'm just new to lifting, I don't have the much knowledge. I didn't know if accomplishing that goal was possible in only nine months. Thanks for your feedback.

Pretty much this exactly.

Not sure what you mean by "strict diet," but if it isn't "eat everything I can to make sure that my body can recover and adapt to the hell I'm putting it through," then it's the wrong kind of "strict."

what's your total now?

220kg.

Also, I should clarify that this is one rep max I'm talking about here, as your only required to do one lift for each excercise when attempting the join the 350 club. When I train, I do 3 sets of 5 at high percentage of one rep max.

take some time to learn the propper technique of the lifts if you haven't already (post the vids here if you can)
then just follow SS or Bill Starr 5x5 and profit
it's a no brainer

6AM - 4 egg whites, 1 cup oats
post workout - protien shake
10AM - chicken/beef/kangaroo, rice, vegtables
1PM - chicken, rice, vegtables
dinner - large steak, salad
Multivitiman and fish oil every morning.
I only give myself a cheat day if I increase each lift by at least 5kg that week.

Apparently my form on deadlift is just a little bit off, everything I think is good. I'll get a friend to film me next time. Thanks for your help :)

The easiest way to up your lifts is to gain weight (while lifting of course). To gain mass amounts of weight, do GOMAD, and your lifts will skyrocket with your noob gains.

Unfortunately, if you care about being lean, GOMAD isn't for you.

Just curious. How tall and how much do you weigh?

Best of luck to you. Lifting has had a lot of the same positive psychological benefits for me as well. As others have said, focus on a program like Starting Strength and stick with it and your goal will certainly be achievable.

Interesting. What's GOMAD?

What are you current max 1RMs?
I'm not a particularly good lifter, would class myself as a novice been doing it just approaching 1 year and my total is almost their.
Follow a programme and go for it.

At first I thought you meant 350 POUNDS. I was thinking, even a moderately athletic high school girl should have the base strength for 350 lbs lol.

If you stick to Starting Strength, 350 kgs should be pretty easy to reach.

Eat Big after your workouts.
