It bothers me when a waitress shows up to take my order without a notepad. Even worse when there's multiple people with me and I always get something complicated. And as I say my lengthy order I watch them take notes in their head and move their eyes and go ok ok

I never have confidence in them and always worry my meal will be wrong and it ruins my dining experience.

I'm not here to be impressed by your memory just serve me my way

I'm going to stop tipping soon
 
Man, I hope someone gets that epic rant on this topic in here. I was telling my wife about that post but I couldn't find it.

And I hate it when people have complicated orders and then bitch and moan when they didn't get exactly what they asked for.

I personally always have very specific requests at places, so as a paying customer I deserve to get whatever specific order I want

Are you one of those high maintenance customers who need to have their food at a specific temperature with the perfect amount of char
 
And some waitresses have incredible memories as well ...

And unless you have severe food allergies , don't make your food orders so complicated. .it is such a douchey thing to do.

Out of curiosity, What percentage of the time do they get your order correct and what percentage do they get it wrong?
 
Went to some stupid bar where the bartenders all faced the back instead of the bar counter. Look in the direction of the money, geniuses.

There’s a waiter at a restaurant we go to frequently. He never uses a notepad. It’s like he’s trying to show off or something. We never order anything complicated and EVERY single time we have him as our waiter he either fucks up the order or he has to come back 3 or 4 times to confirm parts of the order.
 
I hate complicated orders too.
Too many people want restaurants to be like Subway or Burger King.
