hey guys im new to the forums and hate searching through all the junk and my punction/grammer blows.Anyways im 23 currently training to compete at the amature level of mma.Anyways I'm 5"10 about 200lbs and probably 16 percent body fat.MY dieting sucks because i have no direction or knowledge of the subject.2 years ago i was around 170lbs and still had some flab.I want to cut down to around 170 walking around and possibly fight there or at 155.Anyways can some one give me a low cal diet or just some recomendations as far as food goes.I train 3-4 times a week at 2 hours at a time. also my cardio sucks but i think ill use the search function for that.Anyone want to help?

Read the 7 habits link in my sig. That should be your starting point. Once you put together a diet plan from those rules, let us know and we can critique it.

well, what exactly is a "whole food"?sorry if this sounds stupid as ive never really dieted beside the eat whatever and whenever i want diet.like after I roll or mui thai what should i eat after that?some sort of fruit or can some one be a little more indepth seeing as I dont know the terms or what some of them mean.

Google Berardi, and go buy The Grappler's Guide to Nutrition

Go do this. Now. Read and digest every word.

Whole foods are foods, not meal replacements like shakes. Post workout you should have a postworkout shake (search PWO shakes) and then your meal after this should contain some complex carbs like brown rice or whole wheat.

There are some diet routines of posters in this thread.

My advice would be not to try and mould your diet/routine around someone else's. Everyone is different and you need to devise a routine that suits you.

On anouther note, losing weight is a matter of education and disipline. The advice from the the other posters have been great and i'm sure you'll get more good advice on this thread in the future, but you won't get all the answers your looking for. Try to educate yourself more, go looking for the answers instead of asking for them.

Yeah sorry, looking back on my last post it may sound a little harsher than intended. What i meant was that you made a good start by posting in here, but don't stop there. Read what MikeMatial has suggested, do some of your own research and draw your own conclusions to what approach will suit you best from the info that you study. If you have knowledge and strategy on how you wish to go about losing weight then chances are you will lose the weight and KEEP IT OFF. Many people lose weight just to put it straight back on again.

How anyone can hate the search function is beyond me.

I'm not writing a paper.Im posting on a forum

And you expect other people to do your work for you because you're too lazy to type properly, too lazy to search and to lazy to read.

I hope nobody will reply to your posts anymore.

Your baggin on my writting on a forum then you start a run on sentence that starts with and?dude your a dick and take your no helping ass some where else.

a) Did you even notice that I quoted you in my reply above? Read it again and maybe you'll notice why I started that sentence with "and".

b) You obviously don't know what a run-on sentence is.

c) This is not literature class. Nobody cares how you start your sentences, but your posts are so embarrassingly full of mistakes that it's not even funny.

d) The fact that you act like you know how to type properly, but are too lazy to do so because you're "not writing a paper" actually makes it worse.

e) Go away.
