I drive an Acura RSX 2003 base model, it's all stock. I want to resell and buy a Volkswagen GTI or a Mazda Rx-8 around the same year. Should I or is it too much of a hassle?
I drive a Honda Civic Type R.
Honda's are very reliable, nothing has gone wrong with mine, mines a 2004 model. They are very quick, 2ltr Vtec's. 6 gears manual, 200bhp standard.
Give it a go, they're extremely reliable and such a good comfy drive. takes corners well.
Max I've had is 152mph.

Another (serious) question, how old are you?
Stay away from rotary engines. What's your price range? Have you considered looking at a supra?
What's a rotary engine? I don't know much about cars. And I'd say around 5k - 8k
I'm 17, my grandma left me land in Mexico which we sold because of the issues happening in Mexico we wanted to get rid of it as soon as we can so I have 30k. I already had my RSX, before the 30k.

I would save that money. The thrill of having a new car fades away really fast (like its resale value).
With all due respect to GhostZ06's suggestions, I highly suggest you keep the car you have and save that money that is coming to you for something more important. You're only 17, use that money for college or an apartment or something.
When you get older and have a regular job and can afford to buy a car on your own, then you can buy the fancy car.
I'm selling my RSX for 7k and will go no lower than 6k. So I'm only looking to spend an extra 1k- 2k on getting another car. The 30k is basically going to get me through college, I still have my shitty job to pay for going out with friends and stuff. I haven't spent any of the money at all.
