:icon_neutWell i got 2nd place i my opinion i think i got clearly cheated by the ref in the final. i fought in blue belt light weight. this is about the 3rd time i got cheated at a IBJJF tournament
I thought you did well but you've got attitude problems from what I saw and Dave Bass had you in a triangle for how long? He won, get over it.
I swept him clearly from my half guard. the reason for the attitude problems was becuase this is the final and when you get cheated and people from the other side of the mat said i won and the ref told me to my face that he made a mistake you would be very upset also.
i pulled guard on him and he started to try and pass and get submissions he was up 5 advantages. then he tried for a inverted armlock from my half guard and swept him and came on top and didnt get any points. so at the end of the match the points were 5 advantages to 0
Tapping the first 6 guys is remarkable. Congratulations, you did exceptionally well. In your opinion, was it a bad judgment call, or did the ref just plain miss it? Or was he biased in favor of your opponent? I also don't like the f*** IBJJF comment. This is the best gi tournament in the world.
Congrats I wasn't there so I can't say anything about your attitude. But, that's still an impressive showing. Any video of your matches?
Sean, you're clearly a very talented grappler, but you seem to have a lot of these sob stories. Don't worry about it, man. You're young and good, and you'll win a lot of medals in your career. I obviously wasn't there, but I wish you'd be a bit more gracious sometimes.
when i lose fair and square i take my losses very well with no cussing or hitting the mat i shake the guys hand and walk of the mat.
sometimes refs will try to screw you on purpose with their bullshit calls or in this bullshit no-call. your not only going up against your opponent but your also going up against the bullshit enemy ref. it sucks but thats the way it is. that is the way life is too.
