Never did I think I would be as crazy about it as I was. From the get go. Apart from the people you're supposed to dislike the main characters were all fucking brilliant and I shed a tear last night watching the last episode. Not like a heaving sobbing tear but my eyes were damp.

Turned the TV off last night, and then dreamed about it as I did a couple of times a week after watching. Which...I get into shows but that's never happened before.

So, I am very happy to have watched it. It was sarcastically funny but serious and poignant when it needed to be but not over the top.

/Cue the Democrat snowflake rubbish.

Pretty good show but the last eight years or so and counting have more or less forever turned me off of politics as something to voluntarily consume.

Hey ! Somehow related and sorry if derail but you are THE person to ask.
Are you familiar with Yes Minister / Yes Prime Minister?
I think it's up there in the realm of the most brilliant stuff ever written and best screen play.

I've been thinking about watching it again recently actually haha. Yes, husband more than me because he's 5 years older and watched and understood it when it first aired but it's great TV.

It's mad watching how much has come true though!

GOAT-level writing and performances, especially the first four seasons:cool:

Never watched it but I enjoyed House of Cards.

I'm happy in a way I watched it when I wanted so if there was a cliffhanger I could watch the next episode. Funny seeing them go through beep beep beeps on their belts to mobile phones...as I was watching it within a few months being the technology growth.

Anyone watch both HoC and recognise the sunrise window in both of the president's residences?
