I feel like UFC 200 Co-main(and the main card in general) is going to disappoint a lot of people.

Main event won't. Main event is going to be absolutely huge no matter what, UFC can't afford anything other than a super fight for 200 at this point.

What else do we know;

1)
They most likely can't afford having only one title fight either. (After UFC 194 and everything)

2) Weidman or Rockhold won't be a part of UFC200, so there won't be a MW title shot on the card.

3) Werdum and Miocic will fight at UFC 198. Considering how much time both guys need in between fights, I think its fair to assume there won't be a HW title shot at UFC200 no matter who wins this fight.

4) Ronda said she'll be back after summer,so no Women's bantamweight title fight at 200.

Now, here's why people might be a little bit disappointed in co-main;

UFC will not book 2 huge PPV fights in one event. No matter if its UFC200,500,1000. There's nothing more important to UFC than proper PPV distrubution.

Let me explain it this way;

There is an absolutely huge superfight main event between A fighter against B fighter (Lawler vs. McGregor for example). Everyone is going to buy PPV for this kind of fight,no matter what else is on the card.

And there is another huge fight between C fighter and D fighter (Anderson vs. GSP for example). It has massive PPV potential. But,most people are going to buy the PPV for the A vs. B fight anyway. Why not book these fights for 2 different events, and not cost themselves close to a million PPV buys?

This is Marketing 101 for the UFC.

Following these guidelines, here is a logical UFC 200 Main card in my opinion;

Main Event: A title fight with huge PPV power.
Examples:

Conor vs. Lawler (If Conor wins)

Lawler vs. GSP (If Conor loses)

Conor vs. RDA 2 (My personal surprise fight. I just believe that if Conor loses,he will be obsessed about winning this fight and will get what he wants,another shot at LW title)

Conor vs. Edgar (Could happen either way,most likely if Conor loses)

Jones vs. Rumble (If Conor loses and every other option goes absolutely wrong,last resort)

Co-Main Event: A title fight with less PPV power.

Examples:

Dominick Cruz vs. Mighty Mouse 2 for BW title (Now,In my opinion this is a huge fight and fantastic co main for ANY UFC event but there are some people hating on smaller guys no matter what so I'd still expect some outrage.)

Cruz vs. TJ 2 for the BW title

Cruz vs. Faber III for the BW title

Aldo vs. Edgar 2 for the FW title(If Conor vacates after UFC196)

Jones vs. Rumble (Not necessarily a less PPV power fight.If the UFC wants to risk a little PPV distribution loss for the quality of the card)

Main Card #3: A #1 contender fight without a huge PPV power,or a legends fight without a huge PPV power.

Lots of examples available.

Main Card #4: A top10 fight without a huge PPV power,or a legends fight without a huge PPV power.

Lots of examples available.

Main Card #5: Gall vs. Punk

Gall by first minute destruction.

The question is,would you be disappointed in a main card like this?

My final guess...

If Conor wins:

Main:Conor vacates the FW title + Conor vs. Edgar for the LW title
Co main:Cruz vs. MM 2 for the BW title

If Conor loses:

Main: RDA vs. Conor 2 for the LW title
Co-main: Cruz vs. MM 2 for the BW title

It will be so far from UFC 100 no doubt...

No matter what, people will be disappointed.

UFC 200 really needs either Jones or Conor to headline. I can see anything else disappointing unless it involves GSP.

How about Jones vs Cormier 2?

I don't think the UFC needs to do anything special for UFC 200. Just a number.

Conor aldo rematch unless RDA knocks Conor out and he isn't ready

You mean 3? I can't see it happening,unless Jones loses the second fight.

Which still would be ridiculous for the main event

I was under whelmed with UFC 100. Unfortunately that's when I realized my own golden days of MMA were over

I'm still amazed when people say it was one of the best cards of all time

I feel the same. I just expect a super fight for main event and thats pretty much all my expectations.

Most likely won't happen but winner of RDA/Conor vs. Khabib/Ferguson would be cool. Lawler and Cruz as main and co-main is good enough for me.

The Sherdog Feels

Heavyweights don't deserve UFC 200, if they pack the card and have Conor headline the bill with a decent draw in the co-main (Holm vs. Cyborg/Carano) then they can put great fights underneath it even if they're not that much of a draw, Bisping was on UFC 100 just before the co-main let's not forget.

If it's not Conor-Lawler or Lawler-GSP there's no excitement from me.

Like all of it but Conor isnt fighting for WW belt before defending FW belt win or lose.

I don't think the UFC needs to do anything special for UFC 200. Just a number.
It started as just a number. But it isn't just a number now. Fan expectation is clearly there. People have been speculating about who's gonna make the card for months. It's also in the brand new Vegas arena on Fan Expo weekend aka International Fight Week, near Independence Day, when there's lots of people in Vegas. There's also a precedent for these type of shows doing well; look at UFC 100.

Think of UFC 200 as more the whole week in general. There will be 3-4 events in the span of a few days and we're likely to see 3-5 titles defended. No reason to complain.

With current scheduled title fights, these are possible choices for title fights during the July 4th fight week.
-Women's Strawweight
-Bantamweight
-Featherweight
-Lightweight
-Welterweight

All the other titles aren't likely to be denfeded.
-WBW (Ronda likely to face Holm/Tate winner in November)
-FLW (MM fights Cejudo late April and its really too close for a full camp for UFC 200)
-MW (Rockhold/Weidman 2 likely for UFC 199)
-LHW (DC/Jones 2 fight at end of April and once again too soon for 200)
-HW (Werdum/Miocic likely for 198 in May in Brazil)
