He actually felt the need to challenge Zabit Magomedsharipov because no one wants to fight him. His only recent loss was to TJ Dillashaw and was forced to fight the likes of Marlon Vera and Brian Kelleher afterwards.

They are not bad fighters, but not near the level of competition Lineker deserves to fight

Dude has balls to call out a much bigger (3 times) guy that has some major hype... Might not go his way but this should be entertaining until the end.

I can see Lineker dropping Zabit with a body shot, that anorexic body won't hold up, Lineker has crazy hard body punches . I seen him hurt a lot of tall guys with brutal body shots.

Perfect example, I could see that happening. Lineker is one of the better body punchers in UFC in any weightclass I think.

Ali did on his behalf, using Zabit's twitter account. I guess it counts.

Lineker is a tiny tank. One of my absolute current favourites. He's hardwired to just walk forward and throw bombs to the body and head, how can you not love a fighter like that? Balls of steel, iron fists, iron hands, WAR LINEKER

All respect to Lineker for calling out a guy a weight class above him on short notice. Should be a fun fight

He could most up to 205 and would probably still find a way to miss weight.

Stupid fight for either of them to take. If Lineker wins it ruins Zabit's momentum and if Zabit knocks him out badly it puts Lineker out of commission because of a fight he should have never taken. I think Zabit styles on him for a couple of rounds and puts him away in the 3rd which wouldn't prove anything other than Lineker is a short fighter who can't close the distance effectively.

He made my favorite fighter(TJ Dillashaw, the guy who slung leather against Cody no love) fight a very measure fight and that deserves respect.

It's a bad fight for Lineker and thats why I feel bad thatLineker has to consider that as an option. He deserves a fight against no love or a top 10 guy

Yup but that's what the sport has become now. Everyone being selective about match ups, cherry picking opponents, ducking etc. There's legitimate match ups still available for Lineker at Bantamweight but no one wants to fight him. On the bright side though if he fights Zabit and makes it to the judges and isn't too injured his value goes up even in defeat. I just think Zabit will hurt him and put him out for quite a while though, which isn't good for either fighter.

Based on styles and Zabit's accommodating the bang bros, I can see Lineker KO'ing him. He apparently has some of the most vicious power in the UFC P4P, and Zabit's boxing meh.....

John vs Cody, two boxers going at it. Would have Lineker winning that one. Plus he deserves a decent big money fight.
