and the hate he is getting. Dude was humble and silent for years, never was too big because of that. Even with Conor you could see the poor guy didnt know how to trash talk.

Even here you can see him mimicking Conor's taunt.

Now, the dude got into his head, destroyed him, is more successful than he ever was even having accomplishing a third of what Aldo did.

He realized the only way to be successful is by playing this game. Now everyone turns their backs and hate him for doing it?
Don't blame the player, blame the game.

Conor was putting buts in the seats. You can even say "blame the people for being attracted to this kind of behavior. Even Conor said he was conducting business.

Aldo is making a lot of dumbshit statements, but at the same time I can't blame him for being upset because Conor inexplicably and very unnecessarily rubbed that win in his face well after it was over. Conor did the same to Poirier and Mendes.

Hope Nate does the same to him now.

I can't stand Aldo. He was worthless as a champion. McG brought a lot of excitement into the division.
The only thing that tumbles out of Aldo's mouth is excuses and whining.
How many tmes did he not show up to fight Conor, or was offered the bout?
Jeesh.

There is definitely some truth to what you are saying. Lots of people are trying to play the game now. In fairness though it is what Aldo has said that has come off bad. There are plenty of things he can go after Conor for but claiming Conor is running from him is just weird.

I like Aldo but there is no doubt this has been a hard thing to handle for him from a pride perspective. I get it. But he has made some strange comments imo.

He called the guy who KO'd him in 13 seconds a pussy. So what does that make him?

How many times did he not show up? Once. He had a broken rib.

How many times was he offered the bout? Once. On short notice when he wasn't medically ready.

Yeah he probably shouldn't have said anything about anytime and being ready as a replacement. That certainly backfired. But don't start making up a whole background. Aldo had a legit reason both times he couldn't go.

I feel bad mostly because THIS dude is one that had an INSANELY tough upbringing, much more than Diaz and definitely much more than McGregor, growing up in the favelas. Still, he was humble as fuck, always. Not a "gangster" wannabe or anything.

Lmao that isn't an excuse and make it all A-OK to disrespect someone. That is something someone would say that is disconnected from reality.

Aldo has been anything but humble the last two or three years. This is the same guy who's pulled out of what? Five title fights? Yet is forever complaining about the UFC and his pay. He was a great champion, but he really did start to become a Brazilian diva towards the end of his reign. His "anytime, anywhere, I'll replace RDA if hurt" rant after his 13 second KO didn't help either when the opportunity actually materialized yet wanted no part of UFC 196. Then he has the audacity to call Conor a pussy? Say what you want about Conor, his hype, or his skills, but at least he showed up.

Huge fan of WEC Aldo. 2014 and onward Aldo? Not so much.

Aldo got his Conor fight and his Conor money. Feel bad for RDA who was ten days away from a huge payday, and now it is all fucking gone. The Conor hype died, and so did RDA's shot at the biggest $$$ fight he would have ever had.
