Because the UFC roster needs the meat.

But in all seriousness I hope people are learning that you can't determine a fighters PED usage by their physique. PEDs run a wide range of substances that can help with any variety of things, and to think that it hasn't run rampant amongst fighters up until now is a bit naive. You can say certain fighters are too honorable to do such a thing, but money and prestige tend to trump honor whether we like to admit it or not. It's a pro sport. Trying to gain an advantage will forever be part of the game.

This is such a misnomer:

1) He's a heavyweight.

2) He was more toned in the one fight he pissed hot.

Attainable physiques are not evidence of being clean but unattainable physiques are evidence of doping.

This isn't exactly true.

You can have very high suspicion of PED usage based on the physique look of someone ( superman look, 3D delts etc. )

But what is true is that you certainly can't rule out PED usage just based on an average look cf Big Tim, Josh B, Anderson, Royce...Tour de France cyclists...

1. Still doesn't not look like a roid user (which he was convicted of) - point of the thread.

2. Even if looked toned - still not a direct indication of usage (again, the point of the thread).

3. Your argument is fallacious.

Exactly AMEN !

Not direct for sure, especially since Big Tim's "toned" physique was very attainable for regular people, still the guy looked his best when on PEDs..
Coincidence ?
I think not. ( Even Tim made the argument to mainly do PED for " looks " )

Same could be said about the difference between PRIDE version of Josh B, and current UFC one who looked physically atrocious

The point is that just because you are on steroids does not mean your physique will reflect that.

Just like how some physiques look like they could be on PED's but are not.

Olympic gymnast look very muscular developed with low body fat - are we to assume they are on drugs?
