I am not saying that Tony should be the favorite (some of this is because they don't like Tony as a person which is stupid) in this fight and this fight is far from a foregone conclusion because Tony has several advantages.

He has 6.5 inches of reach, better cardio, and isnt going to get totally ragdolled on the ground without landing some nasty elbows or sub attempts. He won't get broken on the ground like Michael Johnson or Barboza
The fact that this is a 5round fight favors Tony as well. Don't sleep on Tony!

Yea the back and forth hype on everything Ufc is usually an overreaction

Francis being the latest example

Khabib looked great last fight but Tony is a different animal than Edson

Bronies for Tony!

I wish that saying would catch on.

Did you see what Kevin Lee, a poor man's Khabib, did to Tony.

Imagine round 1 of that fight repeated 5 times and it's the Khabib fight.

Just a bit worried since what Kevin Lee did to Ferguson in the first round

Hope he can get the win

Imagine what Kevin Lee was doing before he gassed out, but for 5 rounds and much, much more violent.

He is not being dismissed, so there's nothing to understand in that regard.

Basically it's the vocal minority at play, making all sorts of definitive picks and statements to seek attention and to appear knowledgeable if they just so happen to end up being right.

I do think that it's reasonable to consider Khabib as the favourite though, by virtue of having the tools to most likely dictate both the pace of the fight and wheter it takes place on the feet or on the ground or up against the cage.

Habib has looked fantastic agiasnt strikers.. his style should..but how many top level grapplers has he beaten..far less then your barbozas and michael johnsons..not saying khabib cant win he certainly can but it wont be walk in the park like the rest.. he hasnt changed anything about his game for the last 24 plus fights..not a good thing when your a fighter .. and a guy like tony as much as a goof as people think he is ..hes cerebral with his gameplanning and will exploit this if he can..

Its a very intriguing match up..and not an easy fight for any guy. They are each other toughest match ups in my opinion..unlike agiasnt you know who..where they both match up alot better..

I think both Khabib and Conor can be fav over Tony

I also think Khabib have much greater chances vs Conor

People have been saying Khabib would be champ for years

look at who is dismissing him.

only conor fans.

I think it mostly has to do with Khabib being undefeated by way of unstoppable take downs and savage ground & pound.

Tony has done some amazing things, but Khabib looks relentless.

The later rounds may prove interesting if Tony survives the first 3. Khabib has shown to be a bit hittable and I'd love to see someone with sneaky angles on their strikes test that chin.

I don't think he's being dismissed. I have it 60/40 Khabib. The problem is people just watched Kevin Lee take Ferg down at will before he got caught in a triangle, and Khabib is a much better versed submission grappler than Lee is and a better wrestler. The likelihood of him being caught in a sub, especially early is small. Ferg's best chance to win is his cardio and ability to damage from the bottom

Its crazy to dismiss Tony, he is a awesome fighter and is light years better than Barboza, who he submitted in round 2. Tony vs Khabib is a awesome fight and I hope it actually happens this time!!.

The fact this is 5 rounds really plays into Tony winning, 5 rounds is gonna be really hard to keep the pace up, Tony has the best cardio in UFC in any classification of weightclass.

Do you guys remember when Tony fought RDA at very high altitude in Mexico and he didn't even have sweat on him after round 5, but there was flyweights on that card who were exhausted in round 3, yes flyweights!!. Even Henry Cejudo said he was really feeling it bad in round 3 and it was really hard

I'm not so convinced Lee is as much of a bump as everyone says he is, Ferguson is dangerou

Edit: loooooool bump

Edit 2: dangerouuuuuuuuu
