I don't understand why MMA fighters take long breaks in their prime

The athletic commissions also suspend fighters after fights. Kinda hard to fight 10 times a year if you get a 3-4 month medical suspension.

whenever i see a fighter coming into the ufc with 25 - 30 fights and they are like 22 yrs old,im like this dude aint gonna make it.
