He's been talking about this fight for years now, and now hes done. He pretty much got dominated for the 5 rounds in terms of the "criteria". He knows, he cant beat GSP and he knows he can't beat the strong wrestler style. It seems befitting for him to go out, after this, because this is what he wanted. It was kinda sad, but I think he meant it form his heart, and he knows deep inside he cant win against these wrestlers.

Maybe he should stick to boxing. Oh, nevermind, he won't go anywhere in boxing either.

I'm a Diaz hater, but I sure has heck like his war attitude in the ring. I wish more people came to fight like he does (less the talk). I was torn tonight between being frustrated that he wasn't more aggressive and watching Georges stand there at times willing to trade. I think we're seeing Georges [slowly] taking some risks.

But, I hope that Diaz goes out on 'his own terms'. I'm worried about getting dubs so that's all I'll say.

Diaz should retire or change his whole approach. He needs to cut back on the triathlons and gain some weight and power. He also needs to go hard on his wrestling skills because all the top wrestlers at 170 will do what GSP did to him.

I remember watching his UFC debut and quite frankly, he hasn't changed. He's been making excuses for years now. I has gotten much better, but he has never addressed the take down aspect. GSP on the other hand came from a non-wrestling background, and being the true champion that he is, he's added wrestling to his arsenal. As far as I am concerned Diaz should retire...

he never had it against wrestlers.. and he just lost to the best one in mma at 170

No shame.. boring as hell to watch.. but no shame

If he said it, he must believe it.

Dude is a helluva fighter and major promoter.

Wolf Tickets were sold.

Nick Diaz gets huge bonus and retires.

It's not the end of the world.

He's not about to just start all over again and get wrestlefucked by some young lion.

In fighting years Diaz is about 10 years older than is chronological age, if not more.

I have nothing but respect for the man and am not ashamed to call myself a fan despite his antics.

He is a truly underappreciated fighter.

Why do people give shit to a guy after retiring after 10+ years of fighting nonstop?

MMA fans need to grow up

One of the most exciting fighters ever. I'd love to see him stay.

He'll be back, even if he has to jump to 185. It's all but guaranteed.
