Germaine de Randamie did it twice to Holly and it was MUCH worse (much later after the bell) and nothing was done except two useless warnings. There needs to be some fucking consistency on this. The Lombard thing should've been a No-Contest. Also, I don't think Rogan and DC were fair commentating on this. They were 100% sure it was intentional - how in the hell could they be so sure? I don't think it was intentional for example.

Also it seemed the ref had no clue what to do and had to run to Herb for counsel.

I hope Hector wins his appeal to NSAC.

I think it's hard to call whether these strikes were intentionally after the bell or not. It's hard to feeeze when you are in the process of throwing leather. Lombard does have the reputation of being a bit of a dick which probably does explains his posturing behaviour afterwards.

It was an unfortunate end to a fight but intentional or not it was after the bell and will result in a DQ. You can't allow fighters to have one last flourish when the bell goes even if a couple got away with it. I also dislike Dolloway but didn't feel he was milking it like some have done.

Ref was late stopping the round, but Lombard can't reasonably argue that he didn't hear the bell ring. He was retaliating for the kick to the body which landed simultaneously with the bell.

Shouldn’t have thrown the strikes after the bell. He was treated fairly and the refs reviewed the action on replay before making the final call. Same thing with Weidman vs Mousasi at first it was ruled as an illegal knee then after the review they determined it was legal and reversed the call.
