You don't HAVE to talk smack to get paid, but people like Chael and Conor sure make it seem like you do. Also, trash-talk is fine and all, but to call legends of the UFC (and MMA) "cowards" and hate on a whole Country is crossing the line. These new "fans" that people like Conor are generating are the same ones thinking Aldo, Silva, Frankie, Nate, Mendes, ETC are "cowards" and "bums". Where is the respect? Just look at these new "fans" and their posts on FB/Twitter...it's full of ignorant BS.
IMHO, Conor isn't standing up to the UFC to benefit anyone other than himself. He has said many times in the past that the press/media is a large part of the game and that he LOVES IT and has MASTERED IT. Then, to come out and BS like that played a part in him losing against Nate is all excuses and nonsense. He is just looking to keep his name in the headlines and make more money.
