Even though I always thought he was a prick and after he ended Mayhem's career...The same thing happened with Rashad when he fought Glover...I never liked Rashad but he is one of the original guys that I have always watched growing up, just like Bisping...and I still want to see them be successful otherwise it makes me feel like I'm getting old Lmao.

Was anyone else the same way?

I've never taken to Bisping. I don't remember ever rooted for him. I think he's generally childish and classless.

But in hindsight, seeing him gut through it for 10 years, mocked and underestimated by fighters and fans, and seeing him finally get the championship fight and win it in dramatic fashion ===== all I have to say is, good on you, mate... congrats.

It took me a long time to like him as well. When Hendo knocked him out it was one of the most satisfying things I've ever witnessed in the octagon. But I've really come to like and respect him as a fighter and a person.

Nope. He acts like an asshole. Just happened that he was fighting a fighter who was more smug and cunty than he acts himself.

I wasn't a big fan of his years ago.

Thought he was a big-mouth, arrogant clown.

Rooted against him during TUF with Mayhem Miller.

I think it was after seeing him beat up Miller I started to watch him a little closer, and realize this dude can FIGHT.

He has gradually grown on me more and more over the years to the point where I ENJOY his trash talking and look forward to all his fights, cuz the dude ALWAYS comes to throw down.

Him Knocking TFO Luke was incredible.

I still will never be a huge fan of his but I must say I actually wanted him to win the belt nothing wrong with a good underdog story.

I never hated Bisping, I was indifferent

But his win over Rockhold AND his trashing of Rockhold in the post fight press conference made me a fan to the point that he is now my favorite 185er.

Also what he said to Rockhold during the touching of the gloves, just LOL!

He's a persistent bastard. The hard work and sacrifice finally paid off.

It made my cheeks and stomach hurt so much from laughing
I want that agian I want the trilogy

i felt similar. i wouldnt say i was fuckin happy, but i was very happy for him to have achieved what im sure was one of his biggest life goals. rockholds persona was perfect to make it all the more enjoyable despite not liking bisping for all these years.

Mayhem? His career? You blame Bisping?

No I never really was a Bisping fan but good for him.Seems like hes putting it all together lately. I never disliked him.

I always liked Rashad. In the TUF finale he crushed that huge dude then went on to have a great career.

Everyone knows that he's an A-hole, but he has worked hard and kept his game face on through out the years. He never gave up and called it quits. He gets lots of respect and congrats on achieving a life long dream that many never do :)

It was the only fight I watched live on the entire card. I jumped out of my seat when Rockhold first dropped. I started screaming once Bisping dropped him again, even more once the ref stopped it. I never would've guessed he could be champ and he made it happen. Much respect to him.

I think he's better off retiring on top like that instead of losing it to whoever he fights next. But I thought he would lose his last 2 fights and yet those are his best fights in his career.

This was one time where I really wanted to see a double KO. Rockhold was so arrogant and condesending I felt he got exactly what he deserved. Still, Bisping has spent most of his career being an arrogant prick. Now that he's the champ, people will get reminded of that again..

Same. Never liked the guy typically cheered against him lol'd heartily at his KO losses. Grew on me over the years, Ima huge Silva fan so I wanted him to get counted out w/ that knee. He kept on and edged out the decision and I couldnt help but respect his ballsiness. Especially at his age and this point in his career.

Dude was the bridesmaid his whole career FINALLY got his chance, even on short notice. He dared to be great rose to the occasion and achieved his life long goal. Theres no way any decent human being could see the fucking elation on the dudes face and not be happy to see someone achieve their dream. Well deserved win, especially in the twilight of his career. Plus to do it in such emphatic fashion against a guy who beat the breaks off him before? shiiiiiit pillowfists had his come up moment and came out like Mike fucking Tyson. Fucking great to see, really is. I guess just seeing him for years finally grew on me. Besides Bisping is a prick but rockhold was SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO DOUCHEY

My feelings on Bisping have vacillated over the years, but I'm ultimately a fan. He's a hard worker, you can't question his heart, he'll fight anyone, and by his own account he's "just a regular bloke".

He may have crossed the line a few times with some of the stuff he's said, but ultimately if his opponent respects him, he'll respect him back. One of the best trash talkers in the game, and by all accounts, a dedicated family man and extremely fan friendly.

Good to see all the hard work pay off.

Bisping didn't end Mayhem's career, Mayhem did it to himself

8 people where asleep in my house when Bisping became champion. None of them remained sleeping for long with how loud I was celebrating. I haven't always been the biggest Ping supporter but seeing him win gold was only rivaled by Forrest for me.
