Why didn't the camera dudes actually show the tap?
I guess he tap on Maia's leg or something, but the angle of the camera they showed didn't show the tap.

You didn't see it because the camera was zoomed in on his face.

Yeah I haven't seen it yet either. I mean he had to have done it. Considering he didn't protest or anything.

ref might of just stopped it on his own

Maybe used his feet. lol.

I didn't see the hand either

He didn't. Yamasucki stopped the fight before he went out.

Looked like he tapped on Maia's thigh.

I thought i was the only one, i was like zoomed in trying to figure when the hell he tapped and at first i actually thought he was out cold, but i guess it was just a bad angle and he tapped on Maia`s legs.

Would of been a great angle had he passed out but yeah I didnt see the tap.

With no tap, can they do that if he's not out?

A techinical submission (when the referee stops it without the fighter tapping) only occurs when the fighter is unconscious or the limb is broken (leg, arm).

Of course, there are many instances of referees stopping it when they THOUGHT the person tapped, but that is it.

didnt see him complain afterwards so he def tapped

It was a right armed tap you all need glasses ffs!

On the Brazilian broadcast, he tapped.

On the American broadcast, he spun out of the body triangle and knocked Maia out.
