No disrespect to Diaz, huge fan. But the UFC, McG are concerned with #s, and $. They create this retirement storyline to keep everyone interested, pull him from 200 to distance themselves from the loss that almost derailed this delusional hype train, and when he returns in NYC, nobody will remember the loss, and the momentum will continue. Thank you for this. Sherdog needed to hear it. Except for the fact that no amount of stunts/tactics will save this hype train and he will either retire or concede to gatekeeper role for the rest of his hype machine career. My bet he retires sooner than later.
