Nobody can tell you for sure if it’s a great bet or not until the fight is over, but with the question marks surrounding his return, how competitive the first fight was and the fact that you are only getting 33 cents or so on the dollar I’m not in love with it.

I do however think that he wins more often than not so you have a decent chance of cashing it. If it’s a single bet then no big deal, but if you’re betting several fights long-term, you definitely have to weigh the odds at your bookie vs the chances that you give each fighter to win the fight. In this case, you’re basically betting that Jones wins more than 75% of the time.

On the other hand, if you just bet your buddy at even money then we’ll done.
