HW matchups

If overeem wins he get Cain, but who do you think is next for JDS? I would say Travis Browne..but I feel like they don't wanna risk getting him on a 2 fight losing streak and possibly ruining his career. Carwin II? Nelson II? Cormier? Mir II?

 

Barnett hopefully for JDS.

 

Browne/JDS doesn't make sense.

 

Well, i created one thread some days ago about that, i think about one of these options:

1) Immediate rematch against Cain Velasquez;
2) Figth against Werdum if he losts do Minotauro ( considering that he won't fight big Nog );
3) Fight the loser of Big Foot x Overeem;
4) Fight the winner of Mark Hunt x Stefan Struve
5) Fight Cheick Kongo;
6) Fight Daniel Cormier;
7) Fight Todd Duffee ( this doesn't make a lot of sense, Todd Duffee is coming back to UFC now and he is far from the top contenders, but i think it would be an interesting fight, the guy has heavy hands and never been to a decision ).

It would be amazing if he fight Cormier or Hunt..

 

How come?

 

JDS vs the Struve/Hunt Winner or Bigfoot if he beats Reem.

 

Barnett, Werdum, Cormier, Mir, Struve/Hunt winner, Rothwell (if he beats Gonzaga), Reem/Bigfoot loser.

Any of these would work.

 

I don't see anyone challenging him besides Cormier, there's no way they'd give him an immediate rematch it was such a lopsided decision

 

Because JDS just lost the belt, I think he deserves someone higher up the ladder like Werdum or BF the guy that beat Browne.

 

The first three are the only that work IMO..I don't like the hunt matchup, or Struve rematch, the rothwell fight sucks.. And the Mir fight was an embarrassment

 

I think Browne is top 10 for sure. But you gotta think the timing, werdum is filming the ultimate fighter and hasn't fought nog yet. With the timing I don't see JDS waiting for werdum to fight ya know

How could you not like a Hunt v JDS fight? Ludicrous.

 

I think JDS will just out class him..he's to fast for a bigger guy like hunt I feel like it would be like the Roy Nelson fight, which wasn't a bad fight just would rather see him fight a more well rounded fighter

 

I get your point... He definitely deserves someone higher on the ladder, but I still think that fight would be entertaining as hell.

 

I feel if josh Barnett or Daniel Cormier win quick and don't get banged up they fight JDS quick. If they don't I think it will probably be Roy or Travis Browne fighting him.

 

There would be some hype. I'm not exactly sold on Hunt yet lol that's all

 

Barnett sounds like a good fight, but I doubt he will ever be in the UFC again.

brown should get bigfoot again cause he injured his leg in the fight.

 

I think he will..I think Dana white is finally focusing on just bringing the best possible guys into the UFC instead of worrying about the past, which is great. I think they'll give Cormier the fight before the give it to Barnett though.
