Out of all the HW fights in history and I think of 2 beatdowns by the best HW fighters of all-time that really show their dominance, tenacity, and skill. I think of 3 fights. Fedor/Sylvia and the 2 Cain/Bigfoot fights. I was also very intrigued by these beatdowns because they were the smaller man beating a much larger man.

If it wasn't for the one fair and square KO Cain got by the hands of JDS, I really think people would think twice as highly of Cain right now than they already are (which Cain is very highly thought of anyway). That one legit loss is gonna plague him in the p4p rankings until you know who suffers one legit loss. Cain has learned from that and become a complete demolition machine. Only JDS, the guy good enough to KO him once, seems to be tough enough to last a long amount of time in the octagon with him anymore even though they were complete beatdowns the last 2 times.

I'll let you compare either fight he had against bigfoot to the fedor/Sylvia fight since its argruable which one was a worse beatdown. Both complete domination of a very skilled fighter who weighs 30-40 pounds bigger than him. First one was bloodier, 2nd one was 80 seconds.

Tim Sylvia, you know, he gets a bad wrap but you gotta admit he was not bad of a fighter at all for his time. He beat (KOed) some good fighters for his time, had a dangerous reach, KO power, and certainly better than most people gave him credit for during his time. He gave Nogueira a tough fight too. Yes, we all thought we knew who would win in a Pride vs UFC era fight (geez, that era was awesome) with Sylvia vs Fedor. But all of us who thought fedor gotta admit, Tim Sylvia had some dangerous qualities and anybody can land a nice punch.

Fedor, well, I don't have to say anything about him.

Anyway, this fight was a complete demolition. Fedor when he took the chance just blasted, steamrolled, and choked him out. Not to mention Sylvia weighs about 280-290 and Fedor weighed about 230 and much shorter.

So, which was a worser beatdown, Fedor/Sylvia or either one of the Cain/Bigfoot fights?

Cain/Bigfoot 1 was a bloodbath, but essentially stopped on a cut. Cain/Bigfoot 2 was slick, but more a display of skill and timing than anything else.

Fedor/Sylvia was vicious. Big Timmeh was just overwhelmed, almost immediately, and then choked out in dominant fashion. It can't be topped for speed and brutality.

...But parts two and three of the Cain/JDS trilogy are probably the worst sustained beatings in the history of the sport.

Zuluzinho was as good a beat down as both of them, but than again zulu was garbage

Ill go for fedors win over sylvia in this vote though, cos loads of zuffa zombies thought tim would beat fedor! It was great to have them sickened

yeah for just a one sided beating were there was never a glimmer of hope at all i think fedor over sylvia. for most brain damage done in the octagon cain vs jds rounds 2-11

Sylvia got straight zulu'd. It was hilarious. Even Fedor laughed when he was asked about it in an interview later.

Fedor's annihilation of Big Tim was a thing of beauty..

His last glimpse of his old self..

Bigfoot Cain 1 for me but LOL fedor/tim Sylvia was a fight that looked like father vs 6 year old son.

I thought the Cain/Bigfoot II was stopped prematurely. Not that Bigfoot would have won, but he was obviously conscious and I think they should have let it go a little further. Carwin would have stopped Lesnar if they stopped all fights that early.

Fedor vs Big Daddy was the biggest beatdown...
Fedor vs Sylvia was funny...
Cain vs Bigfoot 1 was brutal..

Well in all honesty if you watch it you see Bigfoot not defending himself well. The fight was over he was just stopped from more brain damage.

Fedor vs Big Daddy was the biggest beatdown...
Goodridge is on both the giving and receiving of some of the worst and scariest beatdowns in the history of MMA. When Big Daddy hit Oleg, I was positive he was dead.

too many shots to the back of the head in cain vs bigfoot 2.

fedor vs sylvia was a thing of beauty.

but i think cain vs bigfoot 1 was the most brutal beatdown out of the 3.

Bigger beat down? Cain-Bigfoot I by a mile.

Bigger satisfaction? Fedor/Sylvia by a thousand miles.

Fedor/Sylvia was a monstrous beat down. Such speed and ferocity.
