We were meant to be riding round in flying cars 16 years ago...reality is some car manufacturers were still using carburetteurs in the early 2000s and we haven't been near the moon in 40 something years.

I don't remember that show, or it's predictions, but we've made tremendous strides in a lot of different industries. I'm impressed with the progress that has been made in 30 odd years.

There has been a huge surge in technology. A lot of it is behind the scenes. I mean look at smartphones. Look at communication. I can text my wife on an international flight and surf the Internet. While we don't have flying cars we are going to have self driving cars. It's going to be crazy. I can't even begin to explain how much more advanced we are going to making in the next few years.

When a layman makes a prediction about where we will be technologically in 10/20/30 years, they are going to be off because they are basing this prediction on some movies and shows they watched.

Also, why would we even want flying cars? I see way more damage done than benefit. There are car crashes every day and now you want them to happen 20 feet in the air?

Lastly, we are 3D printing fucking limbs and we're probably close (if we're not already there) to 3D printing organs. I don't see how we went wrong.

Texts on an international flight brother. Have you ever flown internationally. Airline wifi is fairly new maybe the past few years I think 2013 or somewhere around there is when it has come into existence. I don't know where you got that in flight wifi has been around 18 years.
