Another main event and the loser is deemed overrated on Sherdog instead of the winner getting his due credit. Funny how 80% of you are silent as the dead before the fight about who will win but after it was a no brainer and you always knew what would happen.

This is a hell of a pattern. You guys do this every single UFC event no matter who is fighting. Why not just enjoy fights and give credit to the winner for fighting a great fight?

I suspect whoever loses the main event later will have always sucked as well and also be overrated. Even if Miococ loses later I bet you will all say he sucked and you had Maldonado. Am I right?

People on here love to shit on Munoz for some reason. I agree that he's ranked a bit too high, but so is Shogun and people don't shit all over him. Munoz is a decent fighter, not a top 10 fighter, but not a can either.

January 2014 account so it's understandable that you have yet to see it that much.

You know Munoz has been known as the Bader/Carmouche 'jobber to the stars' type of MW for some time...

Hindsight is 20/20 and you're only as good as your last fight.

    Sherdog's two favorite mottoes.

He's a great fighter compared to 99.9% of the world, in the UFC he's the guy whose job is to get beat up by contenders to build them.

Do you expect people to be singing Munoz' praises after that fight?

Give me a break. If your a fan and appreciate his skills, I respect that. But after he lost to machida and if he ever loses again he will get shit on like every other great.

To be fair I think basically everyone was predicting Mousasi to win. I didn't think he'd manhandle Munoz on the ground like that, but I certainly thought he'd take it.

More than 90% of Sherdog picked Mousasi to win.

Well, in this case Gegard was a heavy favorite for a good reason.

Going in it was clear that Munoz's only path to victory was to get the fight on the ground and from there either hold him down or finish him with GnP. Mousasi is by far the better striker and thought to be a better grappler overall, which was clearly shown to be true.

Not really the best fight to use as the basis of your argument, which I actually agree with. To me that would be Wineland vs. Eduardo, before the fight everyone was saying that it's a waste of a fight for Eddie because he's top five, but when he lost it was because he was always trash.

Yeah good example. What was mind blowing is two weeks ago we have a million threads on Barao being the #1 p4p and how he is better than Aldo and Fedor. Fast forward a week and 90% of people claim to have predicted his overrated skills and Dillashaws win. It is just ridiculous.

Don't get me wrong though. A few of you did say Dillashaw would make it a fight but the vast majority thought it was a showcase.

Yeah, it was stupid that we was ever talked about as a potential title contender (but the UFC will overhype anyone so that's not surprising), but when you look at who he's lost to, you almost feel sorry for him for having to fight that killer's row of Weidman, Machida and Mousasi.

It's difficult to compare Shogun with the Pinoy Wrecking Machine...

Shogun's paid his dues, KO'ing people professionally since '02, and continues to surprise us once in a while. Munoz has only been in the UFC for roughly 4 years and has left a trail of destruction for the most part. Munoz has a ton of potential, needless to say.
