When ronda lost, she hid her face from the world..contemplated suicide. While conor lost, didn't hide...even talked to reporters afterwards...then promptly wanted a rematch...got it and put an ass whoopin a bigger fighter....Whether a few more people know conor outside of mma, means very little...the bottom line is ppv sales..who sells more....conor obviously does, considering he has the top 3 ppv's of all time.

None of that has anything to do with popularity. Ronda was crying on Ellen or Opera or whatever, Conor was talking to Ariel after his loss. Ronda was in major action movies, Conor will be in a HBO sitcom. 2 different levels of stardom.
Conor has the ppv thing on lock. He has all of Ireland even tho they get their UFC from cable so I don't know how that works, and he has American males that have an Irish ancestor from 3 generations ago.
