Current situation - making around $70k + company car. Saving $500-700 a week.

Job in mad max territory would see you saving $2500-3000 a week.
The work is as a "construction professional". There's some physical work but its mainly walking and occasionally carrying 30kg objects from point a to point b. The harsh part is purely environmental.

It is not as an aboriginal prostitute, sorry, those gigs are much harder to get.

*******

You're in a relatively comfortable situation, good job, living with friends, saving a lot.

One day you get an offer -
Work in the middle of nowhere, literally a desert in central Australia, conditions harsh as hell, on a 3 weeks on - 1 week off arrangement with a minimum contract length of 6 months that you must complete. You'd be working 12hr days, 7 days a week whilst there.

The reward - $225k a year salary and free accommodation + food + flights/transport.

Would you take it? Why/why not?

If already in a good situation, I don't see the benefit to doing that

don't become a prostitute, ts

People do this all of the time for an 1/8 of that pay. It's called the United States Army:D

Can I have the job if you dont take it.

What are the chances I get ot see live battle between Jacked Roo and Python?

As an aboriginal prostitute, I'd say every bloomin day.

How much for a sloppy Joe's?

The sandwich, obviously.

I could do that stretch maybe twice before getting bored with it. One time deal? Sure, no problem. No kids or wife to be missed. Long term though...Idk bout all that.

Before I retired I wouldn't take it because it would have been a cut in pay but it depends on what you make now and what you'd be doing. You're in Australia already so how much worse could it be?

A lot of Americans do something similar by the way of government contracting in Iraq/Afghanistan. Typical contract is a year long with 3 months on and 1 month off. Salary well in excess of 100k and everything is paid for (food, accommodation, etc

112.5K for working 3 months and camping and exploring for 3 months in a region I've never seen, expenses paid?

Yes. Time would fly by.

If it suits your lifestyle, definitely. If you're one of those people that needs to be on ig every day showing everyone what you had for breakfast, maybe not.

The industries died down alot over the last few years, moving away from construction into production. Chances like this are becoming fewer and further between.

Can I ask what your trade is? I'm a Rigger and have had a very hard time getting FIFO work the last 2 years in WA.
