Just started playing this after really enjoying 2 and 3.
It has aliens instead of rival gangs but it still looks decent
SR really took another style than GTA and I always liked it.

So what do you think ?

I mean there's no denying that it's a fun game but I would have preferred if they kept going in the direction Saints Row 2 was going. It's basically a cartoon version of GTA now.

5/5 in my book, enjoyed the hell out of the game. 3 has the better moments but 4 was a better overall experience.

I agree, Saints Row 2 was the best of the bunch, in my opinion.

SR4 is ok, i enjoyed the new activities and the superpowers but i didn't play it as much as 2 and 3

I just finished this and returned it. Fucking garbage of a game. Same with 3.

    2 was the best.

I dont want this series to continue.

Saint's Row 4 was just DLC that got expanded a bit and sold as a stand alone.

    ?

SR was a GTA SA ripoff with bad comedy.

SR2 was a GTA SA ripoff with much better comedy.

    SR3 was fuck stupid.

Everybody who shits on SR4 probably also hates Sleeping Dogs.

And complains about the driving in every game.

It was Crackdown with a better sense of humor and a lot more fun. I thought it was pretty good. Not as good as 2, but better than 1 and 3.

Worst of the series. Still haven't completed it and probably never will.

    SR2 > SR1 > SR3 >>>>>>>> SR4

Sleeping Dogs was alright. Combatfelt too much like the Batman games, could have used a bit more work all in all, but the game has a well made setting and atmosphere.

It had its moments I suppose but I wasn't keen on it. And I'm that asshole that thinks SR3 was the tits and way better than SR 2 & 1 (Although I could never get them running properly on my PC and basically didn't play them at all tbf).

The novelty of superpowers in SR4 quickly wears off and makes shit like driving obsolete. You can ignore superpowers and drive everywhere of course but I didn't have the self-control for that shit.

Plus the aliens make for pretty tedious opponents. The gang warfare in SR3 was far better

I personally liked the first one the best. I played the 4th for about 20 minutes and gave it back to my friend, lol. I'd rather play gta3

I didn't really like the direction the game took in terms of plot but I really had fun playing it. Saints Row games were a blast. I'd recommend people play them. They're what games need to be once in a while, mindless fun.
