How would you feel about on screen round by round scoring?

As a fan I think this would be the biggest and in my opinion exciting change the UFC or any MMA organization could make. I would even be fine with seeing 1 judges scores as the fight progresses just to have an idea of how they are scoring it as all judges are different and not all MMA scoring is the same in every state (yet)

It may even improve the way a fight goes as we have seen many fighters just completely stop fighting and coast in the last round because their corners tell that fighter they are winning when the judges really are seeing something completely different.

How would you feel if they started to show round by round scoring in MMA? Whether it be all 3 judges or 2 or even 1 judges score card?

Can we replace idiot judges between rounds?

Ban headkicks

I would love it. The detractors say it would make a fighter who has won the first two rounds of a 3 rd fight take it slow and just roll for the last round, but I think it s less negative than the positive effects such as of a fighter knowing he has to come back, or 2 fighters knowing they re even and need to make the balance tip on their side

I think it would have pros and cons. If a guy knows for sure he has won 2 rounds it may make them coast and fight safe. might give some transparency. I admit I was triggered after the machida fight.

funnily enough, i just looked up something like this for boxing, and found this article

http://bleacherreport.com/articles/1220001-why-boxing-must-not-employ-an-open-scoring-system

i agree with the author Randy Gordon.

Want to know what works? Not keypads. Not Open Scoring. An incompetent judge makes for an incompetent keypad and for incompetent Open Scoring. A dishonest judge makes for a dishonest keypad and dishonest Open Scoring.

What we need are competent judges and honest ones.

It isn’t hard hard to find them, but they are out there.

Use them! Get rid of the incompetent ones and the dishonest ones. While you’re at it, get rid of the keypads and forget about Open Scoring!

That’s how to fix, er, repair boxing!

If anything they could always just show it for people watching on television and keep it off the screens in the arena.

I'm sure there are a few positives and negatives but I would rather maintain any purity there is.

Yeah, but it's 2018.

If you fought to the death you would always get the right result.

I feel that there would be more decisions in MMA.

Not a good feeling...

It will show us which judges need to be fired. More transparency will be better for the sport.

I like the idea, guys should know how the judges are scoring the fight and I also hate when cornermen tell their fighters that they won the round when it was a close round and they really don't know how its being scored.

I like the tension of waiting for the decision and the righteous indignation when the scores are ridiculous .

I’d love it but I don’t think it’s practical. Its got to be chaotic as hell as it is trying to tally up scores, without the added factor of needing to get the numbers to the screen.

It was a shitty idea first time I heard it...

It still is.

Honestly, this may be the best reason in terms of a television show.

It's a classic, dramatic moment in combat sports.

The scorecards are already public record and we already know who needs to be fired.
