How would Ngannou vs Cormier go?

One of the best wrestlers in MMA history vs a guy that is clueless on the ground and has no gas tank? Not much of a mystery.

Cormier takes him down in first 10 seconds, fight over.

Lol Rumble couldn't even KO Arlovski

Ngannou knocked him out cold with one punch

LHW power is not comparable to true Heavyweight power

Fedor and Stipe both starched Arlovski easily yet Rumble couldn't
Way to MMAth. Fighters are different from one fight to the next and every punch connects differently. It's not that simple. Humble Rumble broke Arlovskis jaw. Did fedor or Stipe? Didn't Nick Diaz floor Paul Daley? Bisping KOd Rockhold FFS. Does that mean he now punches harder than all of Rockholds opponents who hit him clean without a KO? Of course not.

Ngannou probably does hit harder than Rumble, but probably not by a lot. Rumble is considered the hardest hitter at LHW, a more stacked weight class full of guys who cut down from about 225 lbs... then there is the law of diminishing returns as it pertains to power and weight.

Off topic, Rumble had wrestling. Ngannou has none

DC takes him to school probably even easier than he did with Lewis.

Idk Ngannou has good TDD early on. But really Dc cant dirtybox with Ngannou. Yea dc is fast but so is Ngannou with probably goat KO power. Dcs chance to win is to follow his lewis fight but he could eat hammer before getting close.

Anyway a lot will be answerd in Cain fight since he is basically Bigger Dc

No he’s not. DC is the better fighter of the two. Is Rockhold as good as DC too just because he trains with him?

No it's not. There is plenty of examples both ways.
prove it then?
The guy with the better wrestling generally wins. It feels inevitable sometimes like when the guy plants to strike he exposes himself for the takedown. That's why you see guys like Colby, Usman dominate fighters. Look at the current lists of UFC champions and most of htem come from a wrestling background or have strong wrestling. How many fights have we seen where the wrestler just lays on the striker. I feel like with grappling atm its the only art where in a few instances fighters who are one dimensional have had success like Maia and Sonenn, you dont see it with strikers where they are one dimensional in striking and go on to do well

I love Ngannou as much as the next man but he would get wrestle fucked bad by Dc the whole fight

thanks for the reply.
In the Conor vs Chad fight people underestimate Conor's ground game, just because you get beat by the best fighter in the division doesn't mean your ground game is weak and when the fight hit the ground against Diaz, Conor was gassed out hard and was rocked hard. Tbh it was Mcgregor's good scrambles, he still got taken down but he sprawled up.

In the Conor vs Eddie fight you cant really use that as an argument, Eddie fought a stand up battle and only half ass shot when he was rocked hard multiple times

Not too sure about JJ vs Andrade, didn't see that fight. Andrade is not known as a wrestler and idk if she shot for many takedowns. How about JJ vs Schevnko then

Rousey isnt a wrestler she relies on the clinch to secure trips and throws.

Wasnt JDS v Cain a stand up battle

The fights dont really prove the point it, it just seems like when a fighter has better wrestling than the opponent despite having lesser striking they generally win. We've seen it a lot and many people say this. Yeah you can get up but you just get this feeling when u see those style match ups that there's nothing the striker can do like RDA vs Colby Khabib vs Mcgregor etc

Eddie wasn't able to close the distance against Conor because he got tagged clean on every exchange.

Andrade is strongest wrestler on division. She always shoots for takedowns. Jessica had 10 takedowns against Tecia Torres and Valentina didn't win with wrestling.

It was, because Cain wasn't able to take him to the ground.

I don't agree with that. Better fighter wins and style doesn't really matter. Till is going to light Colby up on UFC London.

And Ngannou would have really good chance against DC. He is different kind of animal than anyone DC has ever deal with before.
