We'll likely never get to see this fight, but Aldo, who ironically had nothing for Conor, seems like the worst stylistic matchup for Diaz. Can anyone not see Diaz limping badly afterwards from legkicks? What would work in Diaz's favor is Aldo has never been a cardio king and could wilt as the fight went on.

The fight was to quick to say he had nothing. He didn't get dominated for a round or 2 then put away. Yeah I know a 13 second ko makes it seem that way but the truth is we really don't know that.

Now I think it would be a good ass fight with aldo taking a decision winning the first 3 and probably dropping the last 2 as he tends to fade in the championship rounds.

Aldo most likely by decision. The Aldo/McGregor fight really didn't tell us anything.

Styles make fights.

Aldo's leg kicks and underlooked but incredible takedowns and submission defense will easily trump Nate. Again, Nate Diaz beating Conor has made everyone blind to Nate's (and Nick's) apparent and long-running weaknesses and the blue print to beat them that has been published for over 10 years now.

Aldo spent how many years playing it safe at FW? Wouldn't move up one weight class let alone 2.

Idk but I would pay to find out tbh. At 155 of course.

Considering Aldo can't finish a bag of chips at FW, i'd say there's no fuckin way he finishes Diaz.

Aldo has a habit of losing those last few rounds, i think Diaz would have the cardio and skills to put him away later in the fight, where Lamas/Hominick/KZ/Edgar failed.

I also think Aldo has potentially lost a step since the WEC first came over

If its a 5 round fight, Nate by late stoppage. Aldo would be another one who wouldn't be able to handle a cardio war and Nate never stops punching.

I remember he was supposed to fight Pettis at a catch weight but either the UFC didn't let him or Pettis got hurt. I don't remember the details, but I do know you're wrong.

Aldo's game is suited to beat Diaz. Amazing low kicks and he has the wrestling and top gare ro out grapple nate if needs be.

Aldo has slowed in latter rounds though and that's a dangerous thing against a Diaz.

Tough fight to call.

Aldo (righty) will have a harder time kicking out Nate's front leg, than RDA did. Nate can counter with the left, but I don't think he has enough power early on to stop Aldo from doing damage. That said, I think Aldo's ground game is overrated and Nate has a chance to sub from the bottom.

Aldo fights sort of Lazy, he'd have a few good moments but Diaz would win on volume.

Good lord. Nothing can be determined from a 13 second fight. You act like Aldo gave it his all in a one sided decision loss. It was 13 damn seconds. It takes me longer to decide what to eat than that fight lasted.

The reach coupled with the boxing beats the low kicks.
