Now that Gus has proven himself as an elite LHW with superb hands how do you guys think a fight with gegard would have played out?

a Gegard with 1 ACL - ugly. once i found out Gegard had 1 leg, i was glad this fight didn't happen.

a Gegard that isn't injured? interesting. i would like to see THIS fight.

Maybe with Gustaffson winning... Or maybe Gegard... Or maybe a draw? I mean, a No Contest would be possible too

It would have been interesting but I'm glad they didn't fight at the time because that fight would have been underrated.

As much as I like Gegard, Gus is just too fukin big for him. Hoping Mousasi does make the drop to 185.

Would love to see it now. Provided they both come in relatively healthy

Not good for Gegard. Legit top 3 lhw against a small lhw with no top 10 wins?

    Alex via bloody lopsided decision.

This. Maybe a finish by choke over an exhausted Mousasi.

Right, Gus took everything Shogun & Jones threw at him and they couldn't KO him.
Mousasi did drop to MW because LHW is too big for him.

No, he will lose because Gus has been fighting elite competition whereas Mousasi's best win at LHW is what, Jardine?

I think Mousasi is too small for the elite LHWs, regardless of fighting style. Still a good fight, probably.

It's great to see how much Gus's stock has risen after the Jones fight. However, if that fight has taught you anything, it should be to not overlook anyone.

Gegard is one of the most consistent fighters around and it's for good reason. I think it's likely that we would have seen a good, competitive fight if both fighters had been healthy.

I think the fight would be excellent if both are healthy and well prepared. Gus size advantage would come into play imo.

I hope Mousasi gets to prove how good he really is soon.

Gus would have put a beating on the most overrated fighter on these forums.
