George Foreman against the cream of the crop that today’s HW’s have to offer was really intriguing to me because of how unique he’d be in any era.
How would he do against the current batch of boxers we have now?

Fury
Joshua
Wilder
Ruiz
The Rest

It depends what Foreman, he was suited to fight in different ways ,. He was more effective heavy set and that’s because he took a better punch and learned timing much better . The guys he lost to like young would never defeat a 90”s Foreman , he wasted a lot of energy and punches in his early days . If he could fight himself Older Foreman would bully his former bully self which was imposing his size and the mental state added to this would be a big factor giving a 38/ 45 yr old Foreman a big advantage .

Younger Foreman would be more effective against guys like Fury as opposed to older Foreman against say a Wilder . For the most part older George does better , better chin, Knowledge and experience .

Even allowing for the fact that today's heavyweights are bigger, prime George would smash most of them silly. Only the top guys would give him much trouble.

Old George > young George

Old George beats Wilder and Joshua, but loses on pts to Fury

I’d imagine Joshua would try to come in big against Foreman only for none of that body building shit to matter lmao. His chin would turn to dust.
More likely that he would run a marathon like he did against Ruiz

Unlike Ruiz, Foreman would be able to catch him coming in at least once depending on which Foreman he’s facing. His chin still being suspect does not help his case here at all.

You mean the 90 year old version or the one from the 70s or the one from the 90s. He would be the best of today's era. Maybe Fury could give him some problems.

He'd be dominant, but I'm not sure that he'd be looked at as the boogeyman that he was in his day.
Plenty of Foreman's KO victims were cruiserweight sized, around or below 200 pounds, 5'10 - 6'3.

He could be beaten and he could be hit:

I think Foreman never really reached his prime, Young foreman 220 pounds would be champ, underrated boxing skills

this, well put. Only thing that is missing is clarification that both versions of Foreman beats the living shit out of every single one of them.

Comeback George? Lol, no.
He was getting smacked around by second tier contenders like Pierre Coetzer (maybe even 3rd tier?), arguably defeated by Axel Schulz,... Doctors were concerned about his health due to the huge amount of punches he took.

Foreman lost to Tommy Morrison. He's too slow and stationary. He would get hit alot, and todays heavyweights are big boys. Kliitschko would have been a horrible matchup for George.

Are we counting Klitschko as "today's era"?

At 44 years old? And lost a decision? Tommy Morrison would beat the shit out of most of todays HWs also.

Apparently Foreman and Morrison are small guys now?

Today HW's are so out of shape with few exceptions, they aren't bigger they are fatter. Morrison was using steroids.

Why can't it be both?

You really think HWs are NOT bigger nowadays than in the past? Are you blind?

The average height for a top 10 HW today is 6'4". In the 1970's, it was 6'0". You can literally verify it with a calculator.

You do realize the top HW today who looks like a slob was busted for steroids, right? You do realize two top 10 HWs were busted for PEDs more than once, right?
