I make this thread as a Khabib fan, but over the years I’ve gone from doubting McGregor to marvelling at his accomplishments. Make no mistake Conor is one of the best fighters ever, but so is Khabib.

This is a career defining fight for both men. There’s never been a bigger fight. Two legacies on the line and one man comes out the best fighter of his era.

Conor has proved me wrong time and time again and that’s the only reason I give him a shot in this match up, otherwise on paper it looks like a no brainier in favour of Khabib. Sure Conor has power in
his left, but a fight of this level shouldn’t be decided by such a one dimensional attribute.

If Conor starches Khabib, it’s hard to argue that he’s not the greatest of all time - simply because of how good Khabib is. And vice versa.

Who knows how that fight plays out, hopefully they both come out of it recognised as two of the best to do it.

imagine what will happen if khabib mauls mcgregor in front of his all fans.... on spotlight.

thats what sells the fight.

Ive said it time and time again. Khabib should be the favorite because great grapplers should beat great strikers.

However I personally will never bet against Conor. Strikers with his kind of power and that special element just cant be bet against. Hes too smart, fast and strong so if he KOd
Khabib I would shrug my shoulders raise a glass and call him the man.

However, if it goes to 5 rounds and he won by decision I would be a LOT more impressed. a LOT.

Again though, Khabib is just an animal and should never be bet against either. Really a crazy fight.

Time to go outside and get some sunlight, I'd say. Maybe talk to a woman who isn't also your mother.

Honestly after all the bullshit he's done I'd love to see khabib make a mess of him so I really hope that doesn't happen.

It most certainly is not the biggest fight of all time. There have definitely been bigger fights. In terms of buyrates, who knows how it will do. Probably quite well.

GSP vs Penn 2.
Chael vs Silva 2.
Fedor vs Cro Cop.
Royce vs Sakuraba.

These were some of the biggest moments in the history of MMA as a sport, rather than MMA as a circus.

I won't think much. We all know he has KO ability. What can never be taken away is how he has been spoon fed and completely protected. Even now, he is being given massive amounts of time to work on the holes in his game that would have been exposed except for the fact that he has been so protected.

I don't see that happening, but IF it did, I don't see how anyone could ever criticize McGregor ever again except for of course not defending his belts. That's a fair criticism, but if he beats arguably one of the scariest LW's ever, he deserves the respect that goes with it.

I don't see it happening but if he pulled it off it'd be incredibly hard to discredit him. I'd probably leave Sherdog for a year.

Anything is possible.

If Conor ever does fight Khabib. It will be McGregor's most humiliating lose to date.

I think this fight could go either way so won't be surprised although a bit disappointed. Was a Conor fan but getting a bit bored of the guy and his theatrics, I really don't want to see another champ get the belt who can't or won't defend.
