I know, I know: they caught TJ.
But the fact that he would even TRY to cheat at this point suggests that he thought there was a good chance he could get away with it. I mean why else would he even attempt it? He knows the repercussions are SEVERE and long-lasting.
So where would he get the idea he could get away with doping? It couldn't simply be "I'll cross my fingers and hope I don't get caught". You'd have to have some solid information that it was possible he could get away with it.
Word travels fast between gyms, trainers, fighters, etc, I'm sure. Are guys finding loop holes in USADA's testing that TJ tried to exploit?
So on the heels of the whole Jon Jones picogram scandal, does USADA lose even more credibility here?
well, yeah.Alot of these fighterd need PEDs to fight at the highest level. No point not trying when the results would be disastrous if they got clean.

HGH use is detectable for about three weeks now, even microdosedWell they are still unable to detect stuff like HGH when microdosed, even epo is still effective if you aren't an idiot.

Time will tell. I obviously don't have conclusive proof of my post, just what I read in said articles. But my hope is like I said hopefully now that it did get a very high profile fighter they find a way to implement it further if it's a method they previously didn't use on everyhing. HGH is still probably the slipperiest of slopes yes. Has some hallmark physical traits but seemingly no good way to detect the presence, present or past of the chemical within bodyily tissue. Pro cycling has to be one of the dirtiest sports in the world. Basically can't finish the tour de france without doping.
no. they give the impression that the problem is less than it would've been without themUSADA gives the illusion that the sport is clean.
Either get tid of USADA or do what you said. No point of having rules if they are not enforced.well, yeah.
you need to make getting caught disastrous as well.
mandatory minimum 2 year ban for first offense. 4 year ban for second offense, lifetime ban for third. entire purse for the fight confiscated, including sponsorship money. all victories within a certain time frame (lets say a year?) of getting caught overturned...
people pretend like the only thing at stake when cheating in sports is the win / loss column. even if you disregard the fact that these guys are out there to hurt each other, there is a serious monetary incentive to cheat. you win enough fights spectacularly, you're a millionaire. as far as i'm concerned, the motherfuckers who get caught with serious performance enhancers should have their careers ruined.
which is clearly true.no. they give the impression that the problem is less than it would've been without them
they do enforce the rules.Either get tid of USADA or do what you said. No point of having rules if they are not enforced.
how is it easy to get away with? Most guy cheat. Its easy to get away with.. dunno why ppl dont understand this yet.. its in every sport
whether it's true or not nobody knows for sure yet. what impression they give is a different thingwhich is clearly true.
i don't know why posters think they are qualified to call bs on 2 leading anti-doping science directors when no credible source has called bs.usada lost all credibility when they let jones cheat with that pulsing bs
Not enough. Maybe in comparison to other sports leagues.how is it easy to get away with?
