how to wash a gi without shrinkin it

I can't think of a method of washing that would shrink a gi.
Drying is a different story.

Could also give it a little stretch occasionally when it's drying.

Cold water. Does anyone here even do their own laundry?

Forgive me if I'm wrong, but aren't most gi's PRE-shrunk? I'm pretty sure my Koral MKM is..

all i do is machine wash cold water... fluff air dryer (usually 2.5 cycles).

this hasnt shrunk any of my gi's and i do this regularly to atama's, mkimonos.

Cold water, hang it up to dry...then air fluff for about 20 mins, so it doesn't feel like cardboard...

Cold water...hang it in the California sun...put on and train

Air dry it. On my Atama gi, I like to go out every hour or so and ruffle the gi top, just so it doesn't dry too stiff/starchy.

you dont even need to do this... it takes wayyy too long. cold water, fluff dry.

I washed mine in cold and then dried/shrunk it until it fit just right. From then on, only cold water and hang dry.

I have a Black Classic Koral and it is pre-shrunk, but I still hang dry it to be safe. I had a bad experience with one of my Krugans and it shrunk to the point my armpits had zero blood flow.

my Gameness is pre-shrunk, and I washed & dryed it once or twice and it shrunk. Even things that are "pre-shrunk" can shrink more.

*I usually train no-gi before you flame me for only washing my Gi once or twice.

Not all of them are pre shunk. My Atamas and HCK's shrunk quite a bit. I like the ones that aren't preshrunk. Becasue then you can shrink them yourself to get teh exact fit you want by drying it with heat till its the way I want it and then I just start air drying it.

mine isnt pre shrunk. Just let it hang after you wash it instead of drying it.
