There's probably 30 traits psychopaths have but a regular jerk or bitch could also have some of those but not be a psychopath. The absolute main 5 traits that definitely determine if someone is a true psychopath and not even a "proto psychopath" are:
1) Total lack of remorse or guilt. To elaborate on that, they don't actually reflect on their actions or inner thoughts. they just continue riding full steam ahead. They are actually not aware nor care about their misdoings.
2) They try to get others to pity them. They use people's empathy and altruism against them.
3) Invented personas, aliases. Their pasts and "lifestory" is very confusing, exaggerated, and difficult to verify. One can never really get to the bottom of their story and one always feels puzzled after discussing it with them.
4) Hyperactive Reptilian Complex in their brain. They dont dream. When its time to go to sleep, they sort of just shut off like a computer. This is due to their frontal lobe being different in structure/function. Theyre on not necesarilly intelligent, but they have a high "predatory awareness" and are always trying to push themselves into a more dominant position. Psychopaths can also sense eachother very quickly and will often completely avoid eachother.
5) High testosterone ( note; there are actually more or less equal amounts of female and male psychopaths.) The testosterone doesn't make females look butch or the men look like hulks, they just have in general have good upperbody strength and their endocrine system is triggered easily and will ready itself for a fight-or-flight state quicker than a normal human being.
Ofcoarse theres a whole host of other traits but these 5 are the ones that if all present will accurately identify a psychopath.
