Ok I have a banana every day with breakfast, but that is usually the extent of my fruit intake. What fruits are recommended to eat (the best and healthiest), how much of them should I eat, and when should I eat them? I have always heard to eat your fruit at or before lunch because of the sugars.

Also, is there any fruit I can get besides fresh that I could eat? Getting fresh fruit means more trips to the store and it is more expensive. I was eating applesauce (light) for a fruit serving every day but I realized it had some fructose syrup in it.

So guys, what should I eat?

you dont have to buy produce fully ripened. Get some green banannas..Pineaples etc...Oranges amd apples last quite a while if you kee[ them in the fridge. There are alternatives but i dont think any of them are going to be as good as fresh stuff..i mean there are like del monte and dole jarred cut fruit in the refrigerated produce section..or those little fruit cups but they both have a good amount of sugar/syrup i think.

APPLES man! One a day and all that shit. They're portable and they're full of fiber. Dried fruit is good too. I'm not sure, but I don't think you NEED to eat a banana every day.

Bananas rule!
Eat more bananas. Atleast 3 a day.

Lots of carbs. (20%).
Difficult to carb up on other types of fruit (if you wanna keep up the calories /day.
But as you

I like to get frozen blueberries and mix them with my protein shakes. High in antioxidents and all. Plus, they taste really good. And with them being frozen, they last for a long time and when blended with a shake, you don't need to water it down by adding ice.

Well, I know some of the tropical fruits are higher-GI, but really, with fruit, I just eat the shit out of it.

Actually I just realized that's pretty much how I approach every food.

But with fruit, I do it guilt-free!

1 apple, 1 banana, 4-5 prunes (I'm weird for liking these I guess?) a day for me...usually in the between meal snacks, with 1/4cup peanuts, walnuts, or mixed nuts.

Apples last a long time in the fridge.

Bananas, I buy 1 green bunch and one yellow, and you have bananas for the week. Staged ripening, its high tech!! Just like TJS said.

My supermarket does bags with a couple of ripe bananas and a couple of un-ripe bananas, maybe I'm near terminally lazy but that seems like a really cool idea to me.
