I remember being shocked by how much bigger he seemed than Condit, who's a career 170 lber.

Anybody know if he's talked about how much weight he was cutting?

If you talk about his Mom he instantly voids his bowels thereby losing several extra pounds on the spot

Being the bigger guy will not save him from being beaten later. He has a woeful standup game....

Chiesa has a path to victory, one clear path, if he doesn't do everything in his power to stick to that path and ends up stood striking with RDA he is an idiot and should be cut.

I think RDA is the better grappler too.

RDA has been pushed to the cage and held there in all of his recent fights, even in his wins. I think with Chiesa's size advantage he has the potential to do the same, push him to the cage, get control and work from there.. But it's Chiesa so he probably stands and gets leg kicked for three rounds and then makes excuses afterwards

I wonder what he walks around at? Looks like he cut quite a bit. I’d be interested in knowing what he weighs when he steps into the cage tonight

    I’d guess around 193-197.

Yeah agreed, but we haven't seen much of Chiesa at 170 yet, but to be fair what we have seen kind of leaves me feeling he's just not that good. He finished Carlos but after a dicey first round, he seemed to lose position in the grappling exchanges several times and find himself in some submissions. Play that game with RDA and he probably closes the show.

With Sanchez is was a dominant performance and Sanchez does have grappling credentials so I guess it was some what impressive, but it's Diego Sanchez, he's washed. It shouldn't be taking three rounds, Chiesa should have the striking skill and confidence in it to get the TKO.

With that, I think if Chiesa has been training hard and working on improving his game we should see the best version of him yet in this fight. He has every physical advantage a fighter could ask for, he just needs to actually use them. Close the distance, grab hold and look to smother.

He only missed weight once IIRC and moved up anyways. I can respect that, he knew he wasn’t going to make LW anymore and immediately moved up.
