I can't lie I'm upset we never saw this fight in pride. I think it should happen. Shogun is not going for the title nor is Vitor anytime soon. This would be an awesome super fight for old times. Who takes it?
 
This would have been a fantastic matchup in 2007, however Shogun's last fight was mediocre against a wrestler and Belfort is just about done. I'd very much rather seem both retire, especially Rua.
 
Honestly at this point who would win?

Vitor isn't looking to get a MW title shot. No need to cut weight. Shogun fights at 205. Fight would happen at 205. And I'd take Vitor by KO at this point. Years ago Shogun might have won when he was more durable.
 
Its not sweet at all .. cause if Vitor doesn't get the KO he gets gassed out very easily .. This is not a good fight ..

I think what he meant was, what made them exciting was in a syringe which is heavily tested for these days. And they are years from any exciting fight they had where they werent on the wrong side. Im with you and would love to see these 2 throw down but I can see his side.
 
I honestly don't know who would win now. Shogun would probably get hit by Vitor but he has a great chin and carries bricks in his hands and feet, so I could see a KO/TKO either way, Shogun seems to dig a lot deeper than Belfort though when things go against him, but it's a toss up.

In their primes, Shogun murders him.

I think Vitor destroys Shogun. Shogun's not good, and is easily the most overhyped fighter of all time. Even more hyped up than Fedor.
 
I love it just because I am a huge fan of both and this has always been a dream matchup of mine.
