Easy to look back now and say that. Lot of ppl agreed with him before this though. Personally i had him right behind Jones.

TJ winning is probably the best thing for the division though. This is the first time we have a former champ fighting below LW, who actually lost his belt in the octagon.

In a sense, absolutely.

But him acting like the greatest travesty in the world is that American toddlers aren't wearing Barao-themed diapers, because he's the greatest ever, makes him look pretty silly, too.

Well, they'll just insert TJ in the discussion.

UFC has long removed any potential meaning of p4p because it seems everyone who holds a belt or is a contender in any division is in the p4p discussion..number 1 changes for whoever is headlining that night.

Saying a guy that had won 30+ fights in a row, and hadn't lost in almost a decade was good?

TJ fought a fantastic fight tonight. Doesn't make Barao any less of a stud.

So he shouldnt have called Barao the best, guy who hadnt lost in 30 something fights, a guy who isnt a big draw.

You guys dont know how promotion seems to work, Jones is already a draw and a name, Barao isnt. Dana knows he is a huge name in mma, the biggest name in mma so Dana talking about Barao is a way to try and build him up into being more of a draw.

should he not do that cause the guy could lose? Should he have not called Silva the GOAT before the Weidman fight?

Yea because beating one relevant fighter (Faber) really warrants being labeled as the best p4p fighter in the world... smh

95% of Barao's wins were over mediocre guys. The statistics did not support him being a p4p quality fighter.

Jones, Aldo, Cain, Hendricks, Mighty Mouse, Mendes, Weidman, Lawler, etc all have more impressive recent resumes than freakin Barao.

Dana is one of the people involved with MMA that people constantly try to find a reason to hate, along with Jon Jones and a couple others.

Some have legit points, most are bullshit
 
Dana is creaming his pants right now that he has a marketable American, Faber-esque guy who actually speaks English as his champion.
