If I were him I wouldn't worry too much about conserving energy. Try to take Chris out early. His one advantage is speed and it'll only be a factor in the first couple rounds. Try to overwhelm Chris and hope something big lands.

To me, this fight is similar to the Franklin fight. That fight was either going to be a KO in the first for Vitor or a late stoppage or UD by Rich. That fight went Vitor's way but he's a bit older now and fighting a more dangerous fighter.

Go in hard and fast with a blitz at first opportunity, back up Weidman, and unleash uppercuts when Weidman ducks his head for the TD. Overwhelm Chris, shake his confidence, then go in for the kill.
