How should I wash my Judo Gi?

My new sensei gave me an over-sized Gi, and he says when you wash it, it will shrink. Should I cold wash? Should I put it in the dryer or let it hang?

You should wash it the same way you wash your jiu-jitsu gi.

cold = less shrinkage
hot = a lot of shrinkage

if it's not small enough after the initial wash, chuck it in the dryer (hot setting) and check every so often, when it's the right size, hang dry it.
