The guy has only fought twice in the ufc, and not since 2013. He lost to Browne and beat Mir so I don't see how he can even be in the top 10 or even top 15

Are you talking about the UFC's rankings?

Then, yeah, because UFC rankings. That's why. There are some serious morons contributing to those rankings.

Nate Diaz gets removed for inactivity.

Barnett hasn't fought in over a year, stays on there.

People barely remember that barnett was sherdogs saviour when he crossed over to the ufc and that a vast majority of them had him wrecking browne.

To answer your question, the hw division is weak

Arlovski, Bigfoot, Nelson, Rothwell, and Overeem are the guys ranked lower than him.
Is it honestly a huge tragedy who's above who? They're all about the same. Old, battered, and should think about retirement.

Barnett has been top 10 for over 10 years. Give the guy some credit

I know how weak the HW is but I don't think it so weak that they have to rank people by how well they might do or how well they did in an other promotion a few years ago.

Top 15? Now you're just a hater. Name 10 guys who should be ranked higher than Barnett.

And no, he did not "only fought twice in the UFC".

    lol @ TS.

He got caught by Browne's semi legal elbows which isn't really a damning loss, and lost to Cormier who is a phenom. Barnett is a stone cold killer with great fight IQ, he's a lock in the top 10, so number 6 is pretty fair.

He hasn't fought in over a year, so why is he even on the list?

Rankings are not supposed to be a guessing game about who a fighter "might" or "would probably" beat, it should be earned. Sorry but he got thrown out of the 2002 for being a dope head, so anything from back then is pretty irrelevant.

Barnett is one of the most overrated fighters in the UFC at the moment.

He has not beaten anyone of any significance since Nogueira in 2006. He beat a washed up Mir; a devoid-of-any-ground-game Sergei; and a domestic abuser/ one hit wonder in Charles Rogers.

Every time he's come up against a quality opponent he has been handed a loss (Browne in 2013 and Cormier in 2012).

He looked like a borderline geriatric against Browne and I see almost all of the top 15 (save Mir & Struve) + Duffee beating him.

A knee is what actually got him, not elbows. Besides that though I'm not saying he couldnt be a top 10 but he hasn't proved himself in the ufc.

Those elbows were as clean as you can get. Browne's technique was flawless. He even turned his wrist on the way down and came in on an angle.

Either way, it's kind of moot. Barnett was already out before the first elbow was dropped. Those were just window dressing.
