I have a pankration tournament coming up in March. I am 170 I am in great shape, but I have decided to cut back on the college diet (burgers, beer, etc.) to try to lose that last bit of fat weight to get under 165 and am now taking in more chicken, mixed vegetables, peanuts, raisins, fish pills, milk (2-3 gal./week), kefir, yogurt, oatmeal cookies, bananas, bagels, and most recently whey powder.

My question is, how much whey shake should I be drinking every day. The jug says one serving is a scoop of powder in 5-6 oz of milk/water, but that seems too little. I have been mixing milk with 2.5-3 scoops of powder in a 20oz bottle and having 2 or 3 of these a day. Is this too much? How much in terms of grams of powder/protein is too little/too much a day?

you should try to have 1-1.5 grams of protein (total between shakes and food) for each pound that you weigh. That is the rule of thumb

Adding on what was stated above...

Get as much protein as you can from whole food sources and supplement the rest.

Not sure how such a large intake of milk, coupled with the high whey shake intake is helping your goal of losing weight...
most whey powder I've seen has 100-150 calories per scoop, which is fine, as long as you realize that you're taking in a grand of calories every day, in shakes alone...

I'd look at axing some/most/all of the milk, since the calorie to protein ratio there is comparatively low, and you're shooting to drop fat...

Well I'm drinking them as opposed to having a peanut butter sandwich or a burger. And I work out a lot, so the calories themselves aren't too big of a deal for me, but I'm trying to cut down on the calories from fat.

I agree with these suggestions but i would just drink the whey/milk before training or p.butter and milk. Then drink whey/ with dextrose(grape juice, gatorade)Since you cleaned up your diet anymore would probally just be pissed out.

cutting down on the 'bad' fat is important here. Losing out on polyunsaturated fats wont help you maintain a higher metabolism or keep away the insulin gremlins.

Drink your water too. Concentrated peepee is money pissed away.

Can you increase your high intensity heart rate/cardio exercise of choice to lose those last five pounds? That sounds like the way to do it IMO
