How much was rust responsible?

I see a lot of people blaming rust for Jon not looking great tonight, but how much can really be blamed on being out for a year with no injury? There have been lots of guy out for a year with injury, meaning they couldn't even train for much of that year, and still come out looking good within a round. He was good enough to win, but didn't really do much damage against a guy who was tired pretty quickly and looked a little nervous and tentative himself.

He could have been fighting safe because OSP has 1 shot KO power and can knock people out moving backwards, and he didn't want to risk getting KO'd in his return fight. Or is it possible that since trying to clean up his act, Jones may have lost a little of that wild and reckless attitude that made him so dangerous before? He didn't look terrible, just not as dangerous as before.

I think some rust was to be expected. And people are ignoring the fact that OSP is very unorthodox in the stand-up. Styles make fights. These just made for a relatively boring one.
