Let's say the U.S. up and decides one day it wants to take over the world and has the population's support wholeheartedly.


How much of the world can the U.S. take over before being stopped? The U.S. has the collective support of the entire American population. Every armed and physically abled person would join the crusade of taking over the planet.

Would the U.S. be able to conquer North America?

Then South America?

Then Europe?

then, lastly, Asia?

The USA would be interesting, I think we'd take over the majority of the Americas, once you go continent to continent it'd be a huge issue with resources.

The thing is the USA has so much invested and owned in other countries we don't need to go to said countries. We can just starve them of resources. So we could cripple a good chunk of the world.

How long would it take? do other nations get to buildup as America moves forward? what level of commitment? America enters a war economy? How long does America plans its invasion? does it gets first strike?

Yeah, you'd get bogged down in North America fighting with conventional weapons only. Guerilla warfare is a bitch. Read some history.

No one knows for sure but I'd imagine that taking over all of the western hemisphere (South America, Central America, Canada, Mexico etc would be easy). If the objective was completely destroy and conquer and not try and nation build then I'd imagine the U.S. could conquer quite a lot.

Iraq was no joke in the early 90s and was defeated in like days. And in the 2nd Iraq war same thing again. All US casualties came from the nation building part.

I'd imagine that conquering the entire African continent and the Middle East wouldn't be an issue either. Given the disorganization.

Really I think only Russia, China, aND the UK would be really difficult. It is crazy when you consider how much Turkey or Israel depend on a country like the US for military technology and weaponry. If it was denied to them it could cause problems.

Though I don't think that America would conquer the world but If we really had a DGAF attitude when it came casualties then I think we'd take over the most of the world. The only countries I think that we wouldn't be able to takeover are China and Russia

We don't really have the manpower. We'd control air and sea quickly. N. America would go quick. I just don't see how you start fighting multiple fronts and prevail with our manpower.

So you don't think Russia and China getting involved would inflict any damage on the US? Seriously?

I would expect them to make a mess of a lot of the US. I mean sure, the US has the hardware to fuck up the entire world but there is enough nasty stuff out there that could leave the US in virtually the same state that the US would inflict abroad.
