Let's take nuclear weapons out of the scenario.
Let's say the U.S. up and decides one day it wants to take over the world and has the population's support wholeheartedly.
How much of the world can the U.S. take over before being stopped? The U.S. has the collective support of the entire American population. Every armed and physically abled person would join the crusade of taking over the planet.
Would the U.S. be able to conquer North America?
Then South America?
Then Europe?
then, lastly, Asia?
