How much of a role do you think that the national average IQ plays a role in a nation's success?

Although correlation does not equal causation, there seems to be a distinct correspondence between a nation's average populace IQ and the wealth or "success" of that nation.

How much of a role do you think a population's general IQ level to the prosperity of that nation?

I personally believe it is the most important factor. Democracies styled after a successful nation does not work as well when the mirroring nation's population have a clear lower level of IQ.

Does anyone remember when the entire Stern show had the IQ contest.
The guy with the highest iq was also the same guy who was the dumbest in the office. Scott depace
He constantly ignored facts throughout the show.

What do you consider a successful nation?

GDP? Peace? Unity? Inventions? Infrastructure?

Not that much. A few people can have an enormous effect on a country...and they might not even be members of that country.

Plus, look at the example of Saudi Arabia. Those cunts wouldn't have shit without the luck of oil there.

Lots of variables to consider.

They just need to be smart enough to not allow a theocracy.

The only two variables I consider are IQ and natural resources. And I put IQ far above the rest.

Depends on what you mean by success. China is considered successful and its people arent very bright.

America is the most successful country in the world by far and doesn't have the highest IQ. Founding principles are much more important. Every society will produce outstanding individuals but only in some countries--like America, for example--will those outstanding individuals be able to climb the ladder and do great things. They don't need overly intelligent people to do the great things they've dreamed up.

Pretty much just need a few chiefs, a lot of Indians, and a system of social and governmental organization that allows those two groups to interface with as little friction as possible. Hence America.

Chinese has at the very least, average IQ.

We had geniuses as the founding fathers, not to mention we derived from the English, which means we should be on par with them.

Its all about that there threshold

Average IQ less than 90 = perpetual anus barring extraordinary luck
Average IQ 100~+ = culture and natural resources with a pinch of luck

I don't think the IQ is the determining factor. I think there are many other factors that are unseen that matter more.

They had a great leap forward and killed tens of millions of people, purging traditional culture, to create their communist party rule.

Also huge amounts of capital and technology flowing in.

So international trade and relations, as well as ability to control the population are factors.

Is this a thread where people say racist stuff then get mad when called racists?

I would say culture is the most important factor, you dont need everyone to be smart for a society to function.

I could agree with this. A stable culture helps a lot too.
