I am thinking about finally starting to train BJJ, unfortunately I think my gym may be very overpriced, and wanted to see what the average person pays to take the same classes I would be taking. The place closest to my home, about 20 minutes away, is 125 a month. Classes are 2 hours Monday through Friday with an hour and a half open mat on Saturdays.
LOL, you're absolutely lucky to be able to go there. Terrell's one of Caesar Gracie's top students, and I've heard he's an amazing grappler and instructor.
Memphis Tennessee, $100 a month unlimited training. Classes are offered about once a day either morning or night, sometimes both (except Sunday).
$100 a month unlimited. OKC, Oklahoma. Lovato Sr. teaches beginner classes Lovato Jr. teaches intermediate/advanced classes & competiton training Justin Rader Teaches No-Gi/Wrestling Robaret Harper (our newest Brown Belt) teaches Sunday classes.
$200 / month for my entire family which includes: 1 gymnastics class per week for both of my kids 2 karate classes per week for both of my kids 2 No-Gi classes per week for all 4 of us 2 Gi BJJ classes per week for all 4 of us 2 kick boxing classes per week for all 4 of us 1 wrestling class per week for all 4 of us It should cost more, but since our whole family trains there and we train in so many different classes, he basically capped us off at $200 for everything even though we insisted on paying more to be fair to him.
your lucky to train with terrell, dont be a cheapstake and sign up ASAP!! its a good price also, dont worry about it.
I found there is a Gracie Barra about 30-40 minutes from my house too. Lead instructor is Aparecido Faria Bill. Unfortunately I see nothing on pricing on the website, and they are closed on Sundays. Also the starting program is only 2 days a week for 4 months and I think only with fellow white belts.
Myself: $200 for 3 months of training, and there is training 7 days a week, damn near 365 days a year (a few guys came out for training on Xmas last year!) But depending on where your located, and the number of (as well as quality of instructors) 125/month is not a bad price at all Also depending on where you are located, rent could be super high. Your instructor has to make a living, so if commercial rent is quite expensive, club fees will be higher as compared to other areas/cities where commerical rent is a lot lower...
$20 a month. Judo class Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 7p-9p, Boxing Wednesdays 5p-7p, grappling Fridays 5p-7p and MMA Saturdays 11a-2p. Lots of free time to go and train whatever you want, but those are the scheduled classes. Mats are open any timer an instructor is present.
Man some of you guys must live out in the boonies or something to pay as little as you do. 180 for unlimited 160 for 3 times a week 120 for 2 a week 90 for 1 a week i train 2-3 times a week
